Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Pickld. By creating an account or using any part of the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. About Pickld
Pickld is a Philippine pickleball platform that provides tournament management, court booking, Philippine Pickleball Rating (PPR) tracking, and community features for players, tournament organisers, and court managers. The platform is operated by Josh Rapaport, registered with the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) as a sole proprietorship.
2. Eligibility
You may use Pickld if you:
- Are at least 13 years of age. Users between 13 and 18 must have parental or guardian consent.
- Provide accurate, truthful information when creating your account.
- Are not prohibited from using the platform under applicable Philippine law.
- Agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Pickld uses passwordless authentication (magic links). You must use a valid email address you control and must not share access to your account with others.
You may only create one account. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate PPR ratings, tournament seeding, or any other platform metric is strictly prohibited and will result in permanent suspension of all associated accounts.
You may delete your account at any time through Account Settings or by contacting us at admin@getpickld.app.
4. Court Bookings
Booking confirmation: A booking is confirmed only after successful payment via PayMongo. Pending bookings that are not paid within the allotted time are automatically released.
Cancellation policy: You may cancel a confirmed booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the booking start time are non-refundable, unless the cancellation is initiated by the court manager or due to a platform error.
Court manager discretion: Court managers set availability and may close courts for maintenance. In the event a court manager cancels a confirmed booking, you will receive a full refund within 5–7 business days.
No-shows: Failure to use a confirmed booking without cancellation forfeits the booking fee. Repeated no-shows may result in booking privileges being suspended.
5. Tournament Registrations
Registration and payment: Tournament registration is complete only after successful payment of the entry fee (where applicable). Organisers set entry fees and may require payment before confirming your spot.
Refund policy: Tournament entry fee refunds are at the discretion of the tournament organiser. Pickld recommends organisers offer full refunds for withdrawals made at least 7 days before the tournament start date, and no refunds for withdrawals within 48 hours. The specific refund policy for each tournament is displayed on the tournament registration page.
Waitlists: If a tournament division is full, you may join the waitlist. You will be automatically notified and offered a spot if one becomes available. No payment is taken until you confirm a waitlist promotion.
Tournament cancellation by organiser: If an organiser cancels a tournament after registration payments have been collected, full refunds will be issued to all registered players within 10 business days.
6. PPR (Philippine Pickleball Rating) System
The PPR is Pickld's rating system for Philippine pickleball players. It uses an ELO-style algorithm with a scale of 1.0 to 7.0. Ratings are updated automatically after match results are verified by both parties.
Result submission and verification: Match results must be submitted by one player and verified by the opposing player (or tournament organiser for sanctioned events). Submitting false match results is a violation of these Terms and will result in rating correction and possible suspension.
Rating disputes: If you believe a rating change is erroneous, contact us at admin@getpickld.app within 14 days of the disputed result. We will review the submitted evidence and may correct the rating at our discretion.
Provisional ratings: Players with fewer than 15 verified matches hold a provisional PPR rating. Provisional ratings are marked accordingly in rankings and may change more rapidly than established ratings.
No guarantee of rating: Pickld makes no guarantee as to the accuracy or competitiveness of your PPR rating relative to any external rating system (e.g., DUPR). The PPR is a Philippine-specific system.
7. Payments and Refunds
All payments on Pickld are processed by PayMongo Inc., a BSP-regulated payment processor. Accepted payment methods include GCash, Maya, credit/debit cards, and BillEase. All amounts are in Philippine Peso (PHP).
Pickld charges a platform fee on court bookings and tournament entry fees. This fee is included in the price displayed at checkout — there are no hidden charges.
Refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, subject to the cancellation policies in Sections 4 and 5 above.

8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent match results or profile information
- Create multiple accounts or manipulate platform rankings or metrics
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users through any platform feature
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose under Philippine law
- Attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, or extract data from the platform without written permission
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform's infrastructure or other users' access
- Impersonate another person or entity
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban, at Pickld's sole discretion.
9. Court Manager and Organiser Obligations
Users who register as court managers or tournament organisers accept additional responsibilities:
- Court managers are responsible for the accuracy of court listings (availability, pricing, amenities) and for honouring confirmed bookings. Repeated cancellations or inaccurate listings may result in removal from the platform.
- Tournament organisers are responsible for the conduct of their events, communicating accurate event details, and processing refunds in accordance with their stated refund policy and Section 5 of these Terms.
10. Platform Fees and Revenue
Pickld charges a commission on successful court booking payments and tournament entry fee collections. The current platform fee is disclosed at checkout and in the relevant pricing pages. Fees are subject to change with 30 days' notice to active users.
11. Intellectual Property
The Pickld platform, brand, logos, and all original content are the intellectual property of the platform operator. You may not use our brand, logos, or content without prior written permission.
By submitting match results, photos, or other content to the platform, you grant Pickld a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use that content for the purpose of operating the platform and promoting Philippine pickleball.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Pickld is provided on an "as is" basis. We make no warranties that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.
Pickld is a marketplace platform. We do not own, operate, or control the courts or tournaments listed on our platform. We are not liable for personal injury, property damage, or any other harm arising from participation in court bookings or tournaments facilitated through the platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, Pickld's total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.
13. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute between you and Pickld, we encourage you to first contact us at admin@getpickld.app so we can attempt to resolve it informally.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to the appropriate courts of Metro Manila.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
